I personally searched for a relatively straight forward GPS unit without over spending. The Magellan Maestro 4350 is a excellent size in contrast to some of the other units available and the excellent screen is very clear and bright and especially easy to observe in daylight. It took five minutes to fix its present position when switched on for the first time. The icons on screen are easy to follow, the directions are very comprehensive, and the directions are very easy to view.
I took the Magellan Maestro 4350 with me to Ohio and it got me there without getting lost. Route plans are clear and the screen display is very straight forward. Planning your route is especially easy, route calculation is very fast. My only gripe with the screen is that the GPS unit is a bit too bright during the hours of darkness and the brightness is set to the lowest level.
Points of Interest was incredibly useful. Points of Interest can be found by Name, Category and then either hunt near you, in a city or near your destination. I personally like the helpful list of Points of Interest Categories, amazingly helpful.
By and large, I am incredibly happy with the Magellan Maestro 4350 and would certainly recommend it to family and friends.
