I personally searched for a straightforward car GPS navigation system without spending loads of money. The TomTom ONE XL 330S is a nice size in contrast to some of the competition and the great display is very clear and bright and extremely easy to observe in daylight. It took five minutes to get on to its current position when turned on for the first time. The menus are easy to use, the directions are very comprehensive, and the countdown instructions are exceptionally easy to view.
I took the TomTom ONE XL 330S with me to Chicago and it got me there without any trouble. The directions are clear and the screen display is very straight forward. Entering addresses is very easy, route calculation is pretty fast. My only gripe with the display is that the automotive GPS system is a bit too bright in the dark and the brightness is set to its lowest setting.
Points of Interest was incredibly helpful. You can search Points of Interest by Name, Category and then either look your present position, in another town or near your destination. My Wife and I like the helpful list of Points of Interest Categories, amazingly effective.
Overall, I am incredibly satisfied with the TomTom ONE XL 330S and would definitely recommend it to anybody.
