I hunted for a fairly simple car GPS navigation system without over spending. The Navigon 2000S is a excellent size in comparison to some of the other units available and the great screen is very vivid and very easy to view in the daytime. It took five minutes to fix its present position when switched on for the first time. The menus are easy to find your way round, the maps are very complete, and the directions are very easy to follow.
I took the Navigon 2000S with me to Seattle and it got me to my destination without any problems. Directions are clear and the screen display is very straight forward. Entering addresses is very easy, route calculation is reasonably fast. My only issue with the display is that the GPS unit is a bit too bright after nightfall and the brightness is set to the lowest level.
Points of Interest was awfully useful. Points of Interest can be found by Name, Category and then look your current position, in a different place or near an address. We like the listing of Points of Interest Categories, awfully user-friendly.
In general, I am incredibly happy with the Navigon 2000S and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a GPS unit.
