The Nextar is amazingly straightforward and smart to use to get directions. The start menu is easy enough and the screen is not cluttered at all, offering you easy access to view the map or select which functions you need.
The directions given by the Nextar appear to be incredibly accurate. The GPS device alerts you with voice instructions in the appearance of "Turn right in 2 miles onto Thompson Street" at ranges of 2 miles, half miles, and soon before a turn, giving a lot of warning before the next turn. When you have a turning instantly following another one, the Nextar will also add "Turn right onto Park Avenue, followed by a right turn." The automotive GPS system is brilliantly good with freeways, providing you plenty of notice which side of the freeway you should be on just before a split in the road or an exit. You will find that you are rarely having to look at the map display as the voice instructions are so accurate. Accuracy wise this GPS device gets me to my destination amazingly well.
