I did an enormous amount of research on the topic of GPS products. We read the reviews in magazines and tried my favoured GPS in my local store. The Magellan Maestro 3250 came out best with great features and value for money. I was primarily looking for a GPS product to condense travel time to work. Many different routes are available that I can travel to work. Depending on the time of day, one route may well be faster than a different route. Because of this, I wanted a GPS device that could assist me with that decision. We also wanted the ability to have control over varying the route. Furthermore, I also didn't want a GPS device that required me to position an aerial on the windshield to receive traffic signals.
The Magellan Maestro 3250 has exceeded my expectations. My commute time has been reduced by forty minutes. Also I have discovered new routes that were by far quicker than ones that I had been taking for YEARS.
A piece of advice, I highly recommend getting a seat bolt type mount device. I got hold of one and I think it is the best mount. My car GPS navigation system sits low and out of sight. I will take the Magellan Maestro 3250 out of my car without needing to hide the mount. I still get a good quality traffic signal and I don't worry about advertising my GPS unit to thieves and I don't have to take a mount down and replace it when I go to and leave work.
