I personally have tried various GPS devices before picking which one to purchase. In due course we decided on the Magellan Maestro 3250. My Wife and I were a little anxious only because a few of the reviews commented on how dreadful the customer service was. After three days after we had bought it, the start-up screen just froze and I was a bit annoyed. Fortunately one call to customer service and eight minutes later problem solved.
The Magellan Maestro 3250 screen is big which is handy. The directions are very accurate and recalculating is very responsive. You may discover that some of the problems people complain about with GPS devices may be from extremely high expectations that no automotive GPS systems can meet.
