My wife and I did an mammoth amount of research regarding GPS units. We read the reviews many websites and tried my favoured GPS in my local store. The Garmin nuvi 750 came out best with everything I wanted. We were generally looking for a GPS product to reduce ride time to work. There are multiple routes that I can travel to work. Based on traffic, one route can be quicker than an alternative route. As a result, I wanted a GPS device that could aid me with that decision. My other half and I also wanted the ability to have control over changing the route. Additionally, I also didn't want a GPS product that required me to position an aerial on the windshield to acquire traffic signals.
The Garmin nuvi 750 has pleasingly met my expectations. The journey to work has been reduced by ten minutes. Also I have found new routes that were greatly shorter than ones that I had been taking for YEARS.
On a side note, I would definitely recommend getting a seat bolt type mount device. We got hold of one and I think it is brilliant. My GPS unit sits low and out of sight. I just take the Garmin nuvi 750 out of my car without having to hide the mount. I still get a good traffic signal and we don’t worry about advertising my GPS device to thieves and I don't have to take a mount down and replace it when I go to or from work.
