We did an massive amount of research on which GPS is best for us. I searched magazines and tried out my shortlist in my local store. The TomTom GO 920T was my preference with everything I wanted. I was basically looking for a GPS product to trim down journey time to work. There are many ways that I can drive to work. Traffic depending, one route can be faster than an alternative route. Therefore, I wanted a GPS device that could help me with that choice. We also wanted the capability to have control over altering the route. Further, I also didn't want a car GPS navigation system that it was necessary to position an antenna on the windshield to acquire traffic signals.
The TomTom GO 920T has pleasingly met my expectations. Daily travel has been reduced by twenty five minutes. A real bonus is that I have discovered new routes that were considerably shorter than ones that I had been using for quite some time.
A piece of advice, I very much recommend getting a seat bolt type mount device. We bought one and I think it is brilliant. My automotive GPS system sits low and out of sight. I just take the TomTom GO 920T out of my car without having to hide the mount. My other half and I still get a good traffic signal and neither of us worry about advertising my GPS unit to thieves and we don't worry about taking a mount down and place it back when I go to or from work.
